No one is self made.

As much as we love to glorify that idea, the truth is more complicated.

Our success are built with our own sweat and tears, yes, but they’re also made of the support, love, perspective, literal and figurative helping hands — not mention the shoulders of the giants who came before.

Who didn’t start out as giants at all.

Perhaps no one knows
that better than the Black community.

In honor of Juneteenth, we turned the spotlight over to some of the most talented Black professionals on our platform — inviting them to speak on freedom, its roots, and the intergenerational forces shaping their community and careers.

“Flipping that narrative and bringing in a tonality that’s positive is a really good interruption of the tropes we see in the media.”

The results speak for themselves

The campaign was our top-performing cultural moment and among the top overall for the year. With nearly 130,000 post views in a single day, and 30% of engagement driving directly to the site, we met our goal of creating high visibility for the Black community who uses our platform.
